Rules and Policies

Our school rules, values and policies explain how students, school staff and members of the school community should behave and treat each other.

In consultation with our school community we develop school specific rules, values and policies that are consistent with those of the Department of Education and Training.

School Values

Values are beliefs about how we should behave and how we should treat each other. We share with families and the community the responsibility for teaching values to our students.
Our school values influence all aspects of school life. As a NSW public school, we are guided by values that help our students understand the importance of respect, responsibility, integrity, excellence, cooperation, participation, care, fairness and democracy.

Values are taught in the classroom and modelled through the activities and relationships of the school and our community.

By teaching these core values, we help our students to:

  • develop a love of learning
  • pursue excellence and high standards
  • develop care and respect for themselves and others
  • take pride in their work
  • exhibit a strong sense of fairness and social justice
  • have an appreciation of Australia’s history and multicultural society
  • actively participate as citizens.
