Attendance and Absences
Parents or caregivers are responsible for ensuring students attend school every day. Your child’s attendance is recorded each day.
If children miss out on school they miss out on vital information, their learning routine is broken, they can lose confidence and they miss out on building up friendships. All students are legally required to attend school every day, including sports days unless:
- your child is too sick to go to school
- your child has been injured
- your child has an infectious disease
- your child has to go to a special religious ceremony
- there is a serious family situation requiring your child’s involvement.
If your child is absent for any reason, please send a signed note to your child’s teacher explaining why your child was away as soon as possible after they return.
